We have recently launched a survey to collect equality and diversity data from registrants who have not yet provided this information. The survey questions cover ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability.

The Public Sector Equality Duty, established by the Equality Act 2010, requires public bodies to put equality at the heart of what they do, in terms of shaping policy, delivering services and in employing staff.

Whilst it is not compulsory to provide the information, we are urging architects to complete this short survey as it will help us to ensure that we operate in a way that is accessible to everyone and fair to all. The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) have issued a statement in support of this important exercise.

A set of Q&As about this vital survey can be found here.

This survey was sent out to registrants via email, if you did not receive a copy of the survey please email equality@arb.org.uk or call 020 7580 5861.
