Knowing you adhere to professional standards reassures potential clients and gives you an edge over your unregulated competitors. In addition to helping maintain public trust in the profession, the Architects Code also lets you know what your professional responsibilities are. But what do we mean by integrity, what is appropriate insurance and how can you avoid common pitfalls?

To help you with questions like these, over the course of this year we’re producing Advisory Notes to bring each of the twelve Standards of the Architects Code to life. The Notes will provide insight into the purpose and application of each Standard, offering examples of complaints and tips for avoiding similar situations.

The first Note, on Standard 1: Honesty and integrity, is available on our website now. You can check our website for updates, or follow us on social media via the links below for alerts on when new Notes are available.
