Why we write Dear Architect
As the regulator of UK architects we are here to protect the public and maintain trust in the profession. All of our activities are underpinned by an objective to help support architects through regulation.

Although serious concerns about architects are rare, we are able to spot trends from time to time in the conduct and competence cases that we handle. We aim to put these insights to good use by sharing them with you, along with advice on the expectations of the Architects Code and practical suggestions on how to align with it and avoid similar pitfalls.

Looking back on recent topics
In case you missed any, we thought it would be helpful to bring together all the Dear Architect articles from the last two years.

Dear Architect articles are designed to give you an overview of the main elements of each topic. We are on hand for those who would like further guidance or tailored advice.

Previous decisions by the Professional Conduct Committee are also available on our website for those interested in precedents and previous mitigating or aggravating factors.
